Unlike wetsuits, drysuits are filled with air. During your drysuit course, your instructor will teach you how to control the air in your drysuit along with your buoyancy.
You'll also learn about different types of drysuits, basic drysuit repairs and maintenance.
How to Get Started
- Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, or hold an equivalent certification from another recognized training organization.
- Be 10 years of age or older
What You Will Learn
Through one confined water session and two open water dives, you'll learn how to put on and take off a drysuit, perform a surface buoyancy check, maintain neutral buoyancy underwater, and vent excess air from the feet, among other essential skills.
Our experienced instructors will help you fine-tune your buoyancy control, so you can dive in a drysuit comfortably and with confidence.
Course Setup
- Complete PADI eLearning online prior to your scheduled pool session (approximately 2-4 hours).
- Practice drysuit diving skills in confined water (approx. 2–3 hours)
- Complete two required open water training dives.
