Dive Trip to Bali

Bali and Lombok have spectacular marine life environments, boasting more than 2500 fish species and an immense number of coral and invertebrates.

Scientist continue to discover new species here, some of which are believed to be endemic. The island's rich bio-diversity is one of our many blessings. This small area may well represent the most biologically diverse undersea environment on earth. Bali is an absolute heaven for serious underwater photographers and minute sea-creature lovers who will find macro subjects like Shrimps, rare nudibranchs and mandarinfish. While many of Bali's abundant species are small, divers may also interact with large marine creatures. On the larger end of the scale, rarely seen are migrating Whales, Manta, Dolphins, the occasional Whale shark, Hammerhead sharks, Tiger and Leopard sharks, which cruise through Bali's ocean.

Dive Site Introduction

Many dives are shallow enough for divers of every level to enjoy and include exotically coloured fish life with an enormous variety of soft and hard corals.

Please be aware erratic and unpredictable currents can be expected at several sites but with expert knowledge and experience these are manageable.

Though surfers and tourists enjoy Bali's south west coast, the high surf usually makes this area too rough for diving. Most dive sites are on Bali's less exposed east and north/west coast, around Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan.

Though scuba diving in Bali is underrated and unknown by many it competes with so many tourist activities and lives up to the standards of an international premier scuba diving destination.

Snorkelling is a popular activity around Bali, Nusa Penida and Lombok's Gili Islands. Colourful shallow corals, teaming with marine life are a short swim or a boat ride from shore.
