Big Blue Trip - Explore the Underwater Ancient City, Qiandao Lake

Qiandao Lake lies in Zhejiang Province which is about 400km away from Shanghai. The lake covers 573 sq. Km and there are 1078 islands in the lake region.
From April to October is the best season for vacation. The beautiful scene of the lake and great food will leave you a fantastic memory.
Our exclusive trip to Lion City which was built in Dong Han period(25 - 200), first was setup as county in 208, it was named "Lion City" because of the "Wu Shi mountain (Five Lion Mountain)" that sits just behind the city.
In September 1959, the Xin Anjiang Dam designed by china started construction to create a reservoir, 290,000 people were relocated from the city which they've lived for over one thousand years. The reservoir was designed to flood any area below an altitude of 108m above sea level putting Lion city at 30-40m underwater.
We will take you to explore this underwater ancient city, we call any dive on this site an "Exploratory Dive", because we need many more dives to get a good overview and map the area since the area covers a large region which is mostly unexplored!
Schedule
- Day 1 (July 23th) Departure
18:00 - Take the minibus from Shanghai to Qiandao Lake (2 breaks on the way around 19:30 and 21:30)
00:30 - Arrive and check in the hotel which is close to the dive site of the underwater city. - Day 2 (July 24th) Explore the underwater city
08:30 - Breakfast
09:00 - Leave for dive site
11:00 - First dive and have a basic lunch
13:00 - Second dive
15:00 - Third dive and get back to the hotel
18:30 - Dinner - Day 3 (July 25th) Diving and Back
06:30 - Get up and have a simple breakfast
07:30 - Leave for the dive site
08:30 - First dive and get back to hotel
11:30 - Lunch
13:00 - Take the minibus back to Shanghai
20:00 - Back to Big Blue

Seat Limitation
We have 10 seats for this trip, due to the limited space available and the interest around the city we're expecting a full trip!
Remarks & General information
- You'll need your Passport and Dive certification
- The water temperature is around 7 - 18c(-), a dry suit is suggested or a semi-dry suit, 7mm or thicker wetsuit and hood, gloves are necessary for the underwater city site.
- NO SPEAR FISHING.
- You will be responsible to follow Safe Diving Practices and diving within your limits.
- Big Blue has a do not touch and no recovery rule to preserve and protect the site, failure to follow this rule will result in the rest of your diving being forfeited.
- Please note we need a Minimum 3 guests for departure.

30% deposit is necessary to secure your seat, the remaining balance must be paid before departure.
For cancellations less than 15 days before the trip, we are not able to give refunds.
