Rescue Course FAQ

How long does the course take?
The eLearning portion is self-paced and must be completed before the course. In-water training typically takes 2 days, or 3 days if EFR training is required.
Is the Rescue Diver course physically demanding?
Yes. Compared to OW and AOW, this course involves towing divers and managing rescue scenarios, so a good level of cardiovascular fitness is recommended to handle the increased physical demand.
Do I need to be a competitive swimmer?
Not at all. While competitive swimming isn't required, you should be comfortable in the water and possess basic swimming proficiency to ensure safety during rescue drills.
I have a Red Cross first aid certificate. Do I still need EFR?
No. A valid Red Cross first aid certification is accepted as an equivalent to EFR. Please provide your certificate during enrollment, or contact us to verify other equivalent certifications.
